What are you guys using for an air compressor

I have an old Ingersol Rand 90 degree die grinder that will run continuously on my Husky 8 gallon horizontal air compressor. I am not sure if the current oil free version would keep up or not though. If you already have a compressor, you could purchase a new one and plumb it along with the old...

    Walmart Bostitch Air Compressor

Does anyone have experience with Bostitch air compressors sold at Wal-mart? It would be for home use so it would not be used all day every day. It is an "oil free" compressor so I doubt it would have great durability and would probably be rather loud. I have a $250 Walmart gift card so I am...

How important are the half sizes on hex wrenches?

I have used 5.5 mm on screws many times but a 7/32 works just as well. 7/32 is .21875 of an inch and 5.5mm is approximately .2165 of an inch so the difference is only .0022

    Automatic Wire Stripper suggestions?

We use the Ideal stripmasters at work and they work great with everyday use for a few years, they typically will break after 2-3 years. We have found the type of strippers linked earlier http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/602708/210231000-332376998/Top-Quality-Automatic-Wire-Stripper.html to be...

As Promised - My first home built Bowie Knife

That looks nice, I may have to get myself a damascus blade soon. I can't imagine not carrying a pocketknife everyday. I carry a Kershaw Skyline everyday and a Leatherman Wave during the week. On weekends I normally replace the Wave with a Victorinox Recruit or a Leatherman Squirt PS4

Would you be willing to pay for Matco quality at Sears?

As many have said before you pay more on the tool truck for the financing, warranty service, and for them to come to your shop. The question is how much extra does that cost them to provide. If they would put out a higher quality product I would be willing to pay more, but not the price Matco...

"Snapon" Flashlights & Pocket Knife Boxed Set Find Today - Whaddya Think?

Re: "Snapon" Flashlights & Pocket Knife Boxed Set Find Today - Whaddya Think? If you get the new Mini Mag light with a factory LEd and compare it to the old one it is night and day. I rarely reach for the old Mag Light with 3 d cells anymore, unless I want a club.

    Getting your money's worth

I would just keep it oiled to help prevent rust from forming and use it. If the chrome peeling is causing a sharp edge that could cut you then I would consider having it replaced. Tools are meant to be used as far as I am concerned. At the same time a lifetime warranty should be just that as far...

Milwaukee Sawzall vs Air Body Saw

Air body saws are good for cutting curved holes in sheet metal. They can also get into smaller confined spaces than a sawzall. I just think they are easier to work with for cutting holes in car bodies.

    New sk warranty fees

I do not think most execs care about the long term future of the company they work for. There is a reason why customer service and quality is not the highest priorities of many companies these days. Most people have come to expect poor customer service these days and to have to replace products...

    dogbones

I do not think it would be better than a set of wrenches but it is better than nothing. If you are putting together an emergency tool kit you have to ask yourself what you actually WILL keep in your car. Depending on how often you would be likely to use it, how stranded you may be if it will not...

"Snapon" Flashlights & Pocket Knife Boxed Set Find Today - Whaddya Think?

Re: "Snapon" Flashlights & Pocket Knife Boxed Set Find Today - Whaddya Think? Snap On realized they can ***** out their name just as many other companies have and make money off of it. It may very well be worth the money you paid for it but do not expect the type of quality you would get from...
