What I wouldn't give for a "54 inch middle tool chest"

I've got a Snap-On KRL 722/791 combination, but it seriously needs a middle box that matches either the top drawer or the top 2 drawers of the 722 lower box. Man, that would be sweet.

Any easy way to remove Snap-On drawer guards?

KRL722/KRL791 boxes. Chrome drawer guards and chrome square tube box edge trim. The stuff that came standard on the box, not the optional drawer guards. The box trim is held on with a few rivets. The drawer guards are held on by double-sided tape on the underside of the guards Tired of the...

    Krl 722+756?

I've got a KRL 722 and 791 box combination now. Rather than hang a side box on the 722, how hard would it be to bolt a KRL756 onto the side instead and make it a single unit? I know it'd be easier to just roll them along side one another side-by-each, but I was looking to use the 756 as a...

    Losing a tiny part

With a nod to BenMiller (above) - For the guys that do this stuff more than once, and can sit/stand at a table or bench: When you disassemble/assemble the tiny springs into stuff like R/C cars and AR15s, try to do that part inside of a big/clear plastic bag. It really cuts down on the...

    Cooling a 20' shipping container

By the time you spent enough to over-engineer the project with all the wrong materials, you'd have spent a lot more building it 'wrong' than by using the right stuff in the right way in the right paces. Specs on most pressure treated material anymore specifies not for actual ground contact...

    Mystery Socket

I've been collecting D-I stuff for years, since I inherited my great grandfather's stuff from WWII factory work. I always look for old pebble finish Plvmb stuff to fill gaps as well. It was quality stuff at the time, and a lot better than most of the average stuff you find now.

    HOT DEAL Index!!

That and the move kits are going online now. Last time I went to my local, this passed summer, there were no packets. Just a clerk with an Andy Kaufman accent telling me to use my com-puuuw-tor.

    Cracked 1945 Snap-On socket.

Greets: As the title says. 13/16" x 1/2"drive - 12 pt. It's not mint. It looks like a WWII grade tool. I don't use Snap-On. Do I give it to a friendly mechanic to trade in and keep? Do I just keep it in my toolbox as an old wartime souvenir? I'm thinking it's worth more as a WWII broken...

    Socket Organization

I remember when Craftsman used to sell the commercial version of these alone thru the catalogue or with sockets on the shelf. That was back in the late 70's/early 80's when they were still selling the stainless steel ratchets and sockets. The good old days. Elroy: Remember when junk tools...

where to buy the special tow hooks that tow truck operators use

I've just asked the car carrier truck drivers making deliveries at the dealerships. They've been pretty helpful in the past, and usually gave me a few of each. There are 'J' hooks, 'S' hooks, and 'R' hooks. Good luck.
