    Apocalyptic garden tools.

I have several of the previously mentioned Rogue Hoes and they rock-old discs from farm implements made into serious tools.

Recommendations for a deep(320’) water well pump.

Sorry, I don't have a pump recommendation as the one in my well when I bought my house five years ago is still working well (Franklin 3/4 hp @ 372') for now, but I appreciate the other pump recommendations here for my future reference. I can however offer another recommendation for the Cycle...

    Lost leg, power company question.

We had the same issue happen two years ago: lost one leg and functionally lost power on every other breaker so nothing @240v would work (hot summer so no a/c nor well water either). Our power company came out quickly at night, installed the isolation transformer by 2:00am (!) and we were back...

    well pumps: cycle stop valves

I also have a CSV with a standard (small) pressure tank-it's worked very well, and the constant-like pressure is real. Occasionally, extreme draw will seem to outpace supply, and the CSV will gradually lose pressure lower than the switch...this isn't an issue with the CSV however. If ever I...

Help picking a small dual purpose compressor

I'm very happy with my Makita MAC700; here's a thread about it: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=443870&highlight=Makita+compressor

    Makita 2.6 gal compressor MAC700 $170 @ CPO

I received mine yesterday, put in the oil, the oil filler cap and the air intake filter, and broke it in for the recommended 20 minutes with the tank drain open. It's surprisingly quiet (not like California Air Tools quiet, but quiet nonetheless), weighty for it's size, and clearly well made...

    Makita 2.6 gal compressor MAC700 $170 @ CPO

In for one as I'm tired of my louder Ridgid tripping breakers simply to add air to my tires and don't want to buy junk (the sale price seems right too-less than a dollar higher than the reconditioned version on the same site). It's all your fault RKA.

Impressive Amazon road side impact wrench

Link to the tool is in the vieo summary on YT. It is interesting how the torque seems to work-like its ramping itself up over a second or two and then applies it (flywheel?) The cheap look isn't particulary inspiring however.

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

I just got the 1/2" shallow impact socket set (metric) after being stymied on a caliper bolt that only normal hand wrenches could get at as my standard impact sockets were too long. Very nice quality, nicely and easily seen labeling, and they work well!

Review of HF gas powered auger

Thanks for the review and tips folks; I piked one up recently to put in a garden fence for my wife, as well but haven't gotten to fire it up quite yet. (Thunder Bay extension on the way too!)

Ryobi PEX Tubing Clamp Tool vs Ryobi PEX Crimp Ring Press Tool

No experience with the Ryobi tools, but I've got good service out of the ratcheting LED lit version www.amazon.com/PEX-GUY-Crimping-Cinching-Stainless/dp/B01KW8DWA4 This one lights when the crimp is sufficient, which I found handy especially when crimping at odd angles. (No affiliation btw.)...
