    Prentiss 528

I know of a company that makes new jaw pads, so thats not an issue. WORST case, Ill machine them myself. Hopefully youre right that I can find a dynamic side. Otherwise its a complete and operational vise that will work nicely in my fab shop

    Prentiss 528

I wouldnt scrap it, if I decide not to restore it, Id sell it. I am equipped to make the jaws but a friend of mine already pointed me to a company he uses for jaws. They just under went new ownership so I have to wait to order them.

Unfortunately The repair doesnt have full penetration and the jaw was fully busted clean off. Also, up at the jaw, someone ground about 1/4 inch off it at an angle so Id have to build that all up as well. It comes down to a time vs money thing at this point.

Shop organization for those that are OCD

I HATE shelving because it always collects clutter and dust since Im a fabricator. Im lucky enough to have a barn that I store stuff in yet my shop (because its not done) always seems to collect stuff. My stop to it is to only have what Im working on in that area. My shop is small (24 by 36ish)...
