I just bought this last weekend at the swap meet. it is pretty cool. the inside is pretty nice the outside is just rust. i am thinking of painting the outside and leaving the inside alone. i love the diagrams printed on the inside. i am going to use it at the shop for my overflow tools
in 2004 i had the wood siding on my house replaced with vinyl --- worst thing i have ever done. 2 years ago i had the front resided with smart siding i wanted to see how it would work on the worst side of the house(west face). the contractor used the h- pieces to **** the ends. i liked it so...
I was actually referring to the look of the nylon term vs shrink tube term. When I wire a car I always use a bare term or remove the nylon part and shrink tube it. Makes for a much cleaner finished product.
I have been in this business for most of my life so here is my 2 cents. do not buy cheap equipment. I personally like the Rotary lifts and they are not really much more costly than the cheapo stuff. I like the Rotary mainly because of the pad design, they are more like the old style pads that...
The place in Minnesota is called Auto City Classics. They have made glass for me for customer classic cars and trucks faster and more reasonably priced than the local glass shop. I actually had them make some side windows for a 37 ford truck and they had them to me the next day.
I am working on restoring one of these, mine is missing the glass in the two windows. Can you or someone else on here tell me or better yet take a picture of the rubber or whatever else holds the glass in place?
I had been looking for one for 5 years. I paid more than I really wanted to, but I have never seen one at a swap meet before and this guy had 2 for sale. The other one was already sold by the time I got there, but he had this one at home.
This is the one I bought at back to the 50s car show. It was delivered by the seller. I am going to restore it and use it as the back bar in my 50s diner in the basement. It is in pretty good shape with a minimal amount of dents. I am missing the alemite emblems, so if any of you guys know where...
Just bought an Alemite work station at Back to the Fifties swap meet in St Paul last weekend. The guy is going to deliver it on Wednesday night. Will post some pics when it gets here. Going to use it as my back bar in my basement 50's diner.
Well I am glad I am not the only one who seems to be always behind on projects. I spend a lot more time at the front desk than I do in the shop these days. The only real fab time I get is on the weekends at home. The only advise I have for you is to be careful about burning your self out by...
Hi Mike. I met you at the Baileigh metal shaping class in Manitowoc a few years ago, you do some awesome metal work. My question is how do you get so much work done and have time to actually run the business end of things?
I have a friend that put one in his garage. It worked out well. According to him the instructions were a little lame, but it fits and looks nice. He is a little **** so if it didn't work right it wouldn't be there now.
