I've heard they're very efficient. Did you notice much of an increase in your electric bill?

    ductless a/c

Did a search and didn't come up with anything. Opinions on DIY for the garage. I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I've looked a some on Amazon and looks like they're precharged with R410. My garage is more of a workshop/woodshop than a place to just hang out and chill. Should I be concerned...

any PVC pipe as air line blow out proof?

Not to say it can't happen, but the only occurrence I've personally witnessed is at my FIL's barn that has PVC air lines. When it happened there the PVC just spit. It did NOT explode and send pieces of PVC shrapnel flying everywhere. PVC just seems to flexible to me burst into pieces, unless...

    Tooling organization

With the skills you have and the extent you've gone to as far as organization, I was wondering if you have some type of dust collection for the woodwork. If so, I'd imagine it would be nothing short of miraculous, would you post some pics.

    Tile thinset question..

I'm definitely not an expert but from my little tiling experience and things I've read I would say yes, you need to back butter the tiles also. You don't want any voids under the tile, especially with the weight of things that will be on it in a garage.

    sub panel wiring

"Is the neutral bar in the pic insulated from the box itself?" Yes. It has a rubber sheet between itself and the metal box. " I hope the wire is in conduit and is THHN type wire." It is. We did get that part right.

    sub panel wiring

Yes, pun intended. From the looks of it i just need to run a separate grd from the main panel and add a separate buss for it in the sub panel. Shouldn't be to big a deal. Thanks everyone for the advice. Dyt. I didn't think about me becoming the ground if the the white comes loose. Thanks

    sub panel wiring

Specifics: Installed last Dec. 60a breaker at the main service panel going to the sub which has 4 slots for breakers but he told me to get the thin breakers so I could have up to 8 circuits, 2 of which are dedicated to the 220. No ground rods and from what I've gathered browsing the web...

    sub panel wiring

New guy here with questions regarding sub panel in detached garage. My FIL pretty much wired this in for me. He's an old school electrician and may not be up to code. I've got 3 wires coming from the main panel (black, red, white). I'm trying to figure out the white and ground. The white...
