    Maxjax anchors outdoors

I'm thinking of mounting my Maxjax outside and use only on sunny days here in rainy Vancouver, Canada. I will bring it back indoors to store. I have read some others have done this as well but mostly in southern sunny areas. How do you think the carbon steel expansion anchors that came with...

    Maxjax single side operation

Thanks for the reply. FWIW, I emailed Maxjax on the weekend and I got a reply today. They said quick connects are not included at the divertor valve. Also, he says that the 4th port at the right bottom is not used for the Maxjax and is unsure why people are using it.

Lift install screws up a hole

The Maxjax I installed needed 7/8 holes in the concrete and the lift had 7/8 holes on the base. I just used holes one the base of the lift as a guide with a 7/8 bit. Maybe use 7/8 hole as a pilot hole through the base and then redrill with 1 inch? edit: I re read your post again and your...

    Maxjax single side operation

Hey guys. I want to raise only one side of my Maxjax and I'm a bit confused. First off, it looks like there are many different updates and versions sold. From the pics I've seen online , shipped are different power units, hoses, wheels, and pads. The version I received did not have quick...

    MaxJax hose questions

Sorry to hijack this thread. I was just curious why nobody has made a "hard line" to run across the ceiling. Is it cost prohibitive? I was thinking of mounting my power unit on one side and using a hard line across the ceiling instead of a hose, mainly for appearance sake. Dumb idea?

Found a used Oxy Actylene setup with big tanks and cart - what's it worth?

Check the dates on them first. Around here they have to get inspected every 10 years. Otherwise it may cost you to get them tested if they are expired when they need a refill. Also, make sure they own them before paying. Get all paperwork so there will not be any problems getting them...

    Precision Parts cleaner

I use it inside. I does have an odor but it doesn't bother me. If gasoline bothers you then you may not like acetone. I'm willing to bet SDC is mainly made up of acetone in an aerosol form much like carburetor cleaner. I noticed acetone makes metal (an my hands) cold too.

To get rid of oil stains? It works but not as well as a foaming degreaser if the concrete is pourous. I use it to clean oil from work before welding/bondoing/painting/soldering. It goes on and dries very fast. Also, its used as a cleaner when fiberglassing. I used a 50/50 mix of...

A little late posting but acetone is an excellent cleaner. Its used to clean aluminum before welding. It leaves no residue. However, it is highly flammable.
