The differences between the two are not many, but the Dannmar (no K) Admiral has a slightly smaller footprint and still similar or the same lifting height. It sounds like you're a little cramped for space, the MaxJax would be good if you didn't have the ceiling clearance that you do, so I think...

Sounds like a bad attempt at shameless self-plugging. First of all, WHIP lifts have stickers that say "Evaluated to ALI standards" or some such ridiculousness, meaning two things: A. it wasn't good enough to be CERTIFIED by ALI, which is sanctioned by the US government B. Above is probably WHY...

If 5" is low enough for you, I'd check out the Ranger RFJ-214T...they also have a racing jack like that OTC one called the RFJ-3000AL but I think it's only a 1.5 ton capacity. 3-1/4" low profile for that one though. Tons of places sell the Ranger ones too, so you can go find a good price...
