Firstly....Welcome to the GJ!!! There are about 5 or 6 other GJ members here that I can think of that have this same model jack. Do a search and you will surely find them.

The SJ-18 has an aluminum frame and seems to be decent jack if it hasn't been abused. What's it worth? About the same as any older jack in similar condition, maybe a bit more for it's style factor.

Here's mine:

I have never seen one of these jacks that was for sale cheap. At Pomona once a seller had one missing the rear wheels and not working but painted nicely and sitting on top of a box. He was asking a fortune for it. The one I own I bought off ebay more than 10 years ago and I too paid a fortune.

Every one who owns one of these jacks seems to realize that this is a different kind of jack and worth big bucks. Lucky is anyone who can find one of these at a decent price.

Mine, believe it or not was a CL find. I didn't know what it was at the time, but the style definitely caught my eye. A couple of the GJ members found theirs through CL as well. Perhaps they fetch a bit of a higher price on the West coast?
