    Craftsman air compressor for $40

Yea, it's an oiled pump. The guy took good care of it. I've got a little Subaru station wagon, so gas was only $20 round trip. Gas was in the equation through. I think the specs are a little generous, I'm thinking it should only put out around 5.5CFM at 90 PSI. -Cybin

    Craftsman air compressor for $40

Look what I picked up today for $40. Had to drive about 3 hours round trip and eat, so the total was about $65 for the compressor. Stopped at HF for a Good Year hose and some other stuff. Total with everything is about $85. I have some garage sale air tools that I can use for now, until I...

Ingersoll Rand Multi Vane? What is it?

Yea, so I found out that IR calls it a modular drill, you can get different heads for the drill. I must have an older modal since i don't think it is reversing. P33, R33 are the current model numbers. The new ones go for $399 and the heads are also $399 each. Bummer. Maybe someone on ebay...

Ingersoll Rand Multi Vane? What is it?

So, I couldn't help myself and bought a mystery tool at a garage sale. Looks like I'm missing a chuck or some special tools. Only markings on it are: Ingersoll Rand Multi Vane 42676 OAR2N There is a center piece that is splined and rotates. Thanks -Cybin

    Puma Compressor? Need opinions.

I'm renting a place right now otherwise I would totally wire 220v into my garage. I think the puma pump will make the most use out of 110v plus its at least movable since I plan on a few more moves before buying a house. It will be pretty much for a impact wrench and a few other air tools. If...

    Puma Compressor? Need opinions.

I'm looking at purchasing a Puma Air compressor for my local Fleet Farm. It looks pretty good I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything They seem to be pretty honest with specs and for the price of $338 it seems like a pretty good deal. Am I missing anything? The specs read like...

    A new work bench thread!!!

I made this out of 2x2" steel tubing. The top is an old treadmill running deck. Pretty much made to a price. -Cybin

    Manual spring compressor

The craftman ones have acme threads, looks to be impact grade metal and have built in detent pins instead of the u-bolts/hooks on the cheap ones. For $50 I don't think your going to get anything better without spending $300. -Cybin

Would you deal with this? Craftsman tool chest.

From my measurements I think they welded the hinge on crooked.

Would you deal with this? Craftsman tool chest.

Yup, doesn't lock smoothly but mine does lock. Really nice setup for the price but I wish they would get things like the lid spot on.

Would you deal with this? Craftsman tool chest.

I just bought a tool chest to add to my collection and was super happy with my purchase till I got home. The lid on the brand new chest is off center by about 1/8th inch on each side. I brushed it off and settled my tools in and drilled two holes for a security cable. I know I got a deal for...

    Torque wrench of choice?

You might want to try the used route. My friend picked up a MAC off ebay and then had it tested for not much money. I think I have a Home Depot torque wrench in my future. Pretty cheap at $60-$80 and they carry a lifetime warranty unlike craftsman ones.
