    '78 F350 Dually Project

12v in one side of the switch, the red lead from the indicator and your load (either to your light or relay, depending on needs) to the other side and the black wire from the indicator to ground. Electrically it would also work in series, but the indicator wiring and bulb probably wouldn't like...

    Bench Oscilloscope recommendation

I wish you were closer, I bought 3 Tektronix 7000 series analog mainframe scopes last fall for basically pennies, been looking for good homes for two of them, a 7904a and a 7834. I only really wanted the 7104 but the guy was going to scrap them and I couldn't let that happen.

Looking to automate filling a pellet stove for a handicapped individual

I second this, we have them at work at move 2000 lbs+ of plastic a shift 5 or 6 days a week with very little maintenance. Several of them are 110 VAC and most integrate a capacitive proximity sensor to judge when to draw, so fill a large container and use the vacuum loader to fill your hopper.

30mm socket for Jag oil drain plug

Little late, but for anyone looking in the future, I've used OTC 5060 for these exact drain plugs. It's actually a socket for 6.2/6.5 GM Injectors, but it's a 30mm, 3/8s drive (or 7/8 hex) and it's about halfway between shallow and deep.

    20mm Sockets and Bigger

I was actually wrong on the use of the 102mm socket it was for a certain hydraulic cylinder in a 720 ton press torqued to 3600 ft lbs. Tie bars use a similar size (or larger) socket but they are not hex. They get torqued to a specific stretch. Tie bars that we work with are up to 10 inch across...

    20mm Sockets and Bigger

Use mostly hex/allen sockets at work. I have used up to a 36mm hex socket, and I've seen them use a 102mm regular socket for torquing tie-bar nuts on Injection molding machines. That 102mm is roughly 4 inches across, is 1.5 inch drive and we use 2 torque multipliers to get the nut where it...

This may sound weird but what do you do?

1st post, Officially 2nd shift Set-up Coordinator for a "Custom" Injection Molder, I basically keep 40+ Injection molding presses running, making good parts, and helping the two guys under me change out the molds and materials when jobs change, along with some light maintenance. Been an Auto...
