Yes. Both fences are inline with each other and perpendicular with the blade. They are dead-nut on. When I slide my work piece from one side to the other... The piece doesn't hang-up or catch the edge of the fence. ...yet it is right against it.
Ok, I have had my miter saw for years. I have used it for many projects. I am currently re-casing all of my doors and windows. But I had a problem with my saw cutting bad miters. My saw was cutting 45's with the inner and outer portions of the cuts having gaps. ...ie there is a "pivot...
Yes, I'm only adding the hardener to the paint. ...which I plan to roll on the primer and the paint. I could spray it, but I really don't want to set up a booth or curtains, just for a frame paint.
I'm going to start cleaning up my frame in prep for paint. I'm figure that I'll get most of the rust off. But depending upon how much is left,... because I know that there will be some pitting... I will either use the standard or rusty metal primer. That being said. For those that have used...
This is an old thread, but I had to put my opinion/result somewhere...
I bought a set on HJE day. I am NOT a machinist so rip on me if you will. My latest project was a heavy duty engine run stand. (Packard straight eights need a little heftier stand) So I used these to drill thru a bunch of...
I have a magnetic sweeper. I thought about dedicated shoes. I was going to get a leather apron with no pockets. I figured that cuttings would hook to a cloth apron more. ...and definitely ties it in the back.
I have finally gotten to set up my mill. It's going in the work room in the basement. I've built the bench for it. It's a wood top bench.
1.)So my first question is will I regret this with chips snagging and embedding themselves into it? I would assume that if I run a brush or better-yet...
I spin dry my brushes and sleeves before using them. ...and wipe my cutting bucket dry. If am getting water in there, it's miniscule.
I just finished rolling a wall. I blew into the (almost full) gallon before shutting it. We'll see if that helps. ...ie no, or very little oxygen. I...
Hi,
I've switched over to using Pittsburgh paints since I've been sticking with Menards. (I used to use Ben Moore and some Behr) Anyway, I have realized that every time I open my can of ceiling paint, I've got black mold in it. (I first thought that this was the tint separating, then I saw...
I know that this is an old thread, but... You being 1/8th or even 5/16th's is nothing to worry about. I am about 3/4th's of a diff from front to back as garage floors slope to the door. I just bought 3ftx4ft 1/2inch thick solid rubber mats from TSC for about $30.
Not re-hashing since you...
Jori,
Did you mention to the contestants that you also put their addresses and credit card numbers on those papers? LOL
Good idea and fun to watch non-the-less.
Thanks for the input. Another question. I was going to use either a leather or canvas apron. I assume that I wouldn't want an apron with pockets (to catch shavings) Or am I just over-thinking that?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi,
So her is my situation... I have a three car attached garage with stairs directly into my house basement. I have my automotive (metal working) stuff in the garage, and the woodworking stuff in my basement. I have a drill press in the basement and I have a mini-mill coming. I...
