I think I would spray bolt and nut remover on it and let it soak for 12 hours then spray it again. Then attempt to knock it loose.

I have many large sockets welded to smaller ones to use with my 3/4 breaker so I can work on HD engines. I could have bought the 1/2 breaker but it was too short for the amount of torque that the crankshaft nuts take.

You will want to get jobber length bits. That is the short ones. Drill the hole just a few thousandths larger than the wire. Have fun and keep the rubber side down.

I can't tell you the age, but it appears to be part of a 4 piece set. If you can see slots on it they are for an 18 inch steel rule that slides into it and then you can draw precise angles.

Get some of the extensions with the small wobble end. That way you can put the socket off of the 90° and I would think that it will not "crunch". By the way, I have many, many 3/8 ratchets and not 1 crunches.
