    Thoughts on this building quote.....

Then we are on pretty even levels of finish if you remove the wiring cost I had. The only finishing I had done was the ceiling drywall. I have the insulation and the rest of the finishes still to complete. Mine was built as a 3 car, with a 4th door out the back.

    Thoughts on this building quote.....

It doesn't look two bad to me given the square footage you are talking about and the current cost of lumber. Above looks about $60/ft and does not seem to include electrical unless I missed it. I had the shell of my garage built last year (26x50 with 12' walls) and cost was about $78/ft but I...

OSB Pricing -- Predicting the future

The lumber yard I have been dealing with has seen prices increase in the last month. Not as steep as over the summer, but still up. July purchases were 11.45/sheet, October was 20.13/sheet and yesterday it cost 22.75. I thought winter might see it decrease as well but no such luck.

    Lazer Level??? Pole Barn

I went through the same dilemma when I built my barn. Bought the Dewalt in red linked below. There is a green version as well but the red worked just fine for me. Used one of my tripods i had laying around and bought the rod. I had intended to sell after too, but just finished my 3rd project...

Looks very nice- there is a lot to be said for doing it yourself. Can't wait to see how it progresses.

    Building a beam for a 24'x24' barn/shed

My pavilion ridge beam clears 23’ between supports. Because of snow loads, etc the engineer specd triple 1.75x16 2.0e lvls sandwiched together to clear it. No steel just the LVL. Home Depot had them to me in a week or so.

Who makes best Ethernet surge protecter?

When I ran cat to the barn, I put one of these on either side and bonded it as required. It's been a couple years now and no issues. https://store.ui.com/collections/operator-accessories/products/ethernet-surge-protector I debated fiber, but as you said OP there is a significant cost still...

    Shop shelving

I went with these guys out of Indianapolis. It was close enough for me to drive it so I can't speak on the shipping. I racked 34'x10' across the back of my barn. https://www.m-h-e.com/

    Good grease gun under $50

I have 4 in the barn for different equipment, all are the Lincoln 1134. I got clear barrels for a couple to see what is inside, but they are solid. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002NYDZ8/?tag=atomicindus08-20

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

What did you do "IN" your garage today? Oil change on my truck and prettied up the Mrs' ride. Hadn’t been able to give it the attention it needed for a while. The garage just passed final not too long ago. Need to run lights and insulation this winter.

    Festool Track Saw-Packaging Question

The festool rails i bought (4 different lengths) all came in sturdy boxes but 2 had to be sent back due to damage in transit. Ironically they were the 2 shortest. Didnt cost me anything, just a little time. I will say that when I ordered the longest, I got it from Woodcraft local
