    Tekton is ridiculous...

Bought some Tekton USA made rubber air hoses about a year and a half ago. One of them bubbled near the strain relief after a few months. Sent a picture and got a new one pronto. Couldn't be happier.

    Yukon work bench

RTR really missed the mark on that video, due to lack of knowledge. HD has multiple OEMs that make the husky benches, and while they are all the same width, they are not all the same. I bought one last year and found a thread (maybe on SD? can't remember) that detailed the differences between...

    2017 HD deals/sales/clearance thread

2q's: 1) 'Immediate return of the item online' - can you order both and cancel one, thereby avoiding ever having to deal with the hammer drill kit, or are you referring to just sending it back? 2) What made the circ saw a POS? My dad wanted one for christmas, but if it's a POS maybe I don't...

    12/04 only, $45 Amazon 84-piece Dewalt 3/8" socket set

For the money, this looks like an amazing set, especially since it's all 6 point (important for those of us that live in areas where they dump salt on the roads). However, if you want slightly better coverage in the extended sizes, need 1/2" drive, or want the torx/robertson/etc. stuff that you...

2017 milwaukee power tools deal thread

I have the Ryobi brad nailer. It's awesome. Biggest difference is that whereas the Milwaukee has 0 delay, the Ryobi has very very short delay between trigger press and firing. It's never bothered me. In the Roybi's favor, it never overheats and will go all day ... the Milwaukees have overheating...

Solid deals on Tekton at TSC (.com)

Thanks OP. Got the crowfoot sets, SAE and Metric. Great deal. Any more 'examples'? They have so much stuff, hard to sort through the sundry wrenches and screwdrivers that everyone already has to find the unique stuff that's a good deal. I thought about getting the impact screwdriver kit, but I...

GearWrench 117Pc ratcheting large tap & die set - $172 at HD and Amazon

Really excellent price for this set. Not HSS, but has good reviews, so I'm assuming the taps don't break too easily. Seems more than sufficient for the home user. Has larger sizes that are useful for automotive and uncommon in other sets. I just ordered - my expectation is that the ratcheting...

Milwaukee M12 screwdriver or ratchet kit $74 at International Tool

Note that these are last gen non-FUEL kits. Still a decent deal. Screwdriver w/ 2x batt + charger: http://www.internationaltool.com/specials/sales/milwaukee-sm-14/milwaukee-2406-22-m12-1-4-inch-hex-2-speed-screwdriver-kit Ratchet w/ batt + charger...

    Ryobi 1/2" impact wrench w/ charger and 4.0 battery - only $99

It should do those lugs no problem, from experience. If the battery was fully charged and it was on high speed mode, take it back and swap it for another one -- it's defective. Also make sure that you are using it with a 4AH battery (which it ships with), because there will be a noticeable power...

    Ryobi 1/2" impact wrench w/ charger and 4.0 battery - only $99

I have this impact. Ran the center bolt of a rusty as hell strut tower on a junk yard car no problem. Many people seem to overlook that there is a serious difference between an impact driver, which will barely do a lugnut, and an impact wrench, which will break most nuts.

    Ryobi 1/2" impact wrench w/ charger and 4.0 battery - only $99

Keep in mind that Ryobi has multiple grades of all of the common tools. They have 5 drill SKUs (****, standard, **** hammer, standard hammer, brushless hammer); 4 recip saws (****, standard, good, and brushless); 4 circ saws (**** 5", standard 5", standard 6", brushless 7"); 3...

    Amazon Warehouse Deals

Where have you seen that price? Out of curiosity I checked SD and there hasn't ever been a post listing it for $400. First party Amazon.com (IE, excluding other sellers) low price was $449, same as SD, but that was half a decade ago ... same as SD ... so I'm with the OP on this - this really was...

    1st air compressor

Except for when they do ... yes, usually you get pinholes, but when they violently rupture it can mean loss of life or limbs. Rusty pressure vessels are nothing to play around with -- search for 'compressor explosion' on youtube for your horification and entertainment.

    1st air compressor

I generally recommend staying away from old compressors. Even if they look nice, they might have had water sitting in the bottom of them. This rusts the tank internally, which can make it dangerously weak (think explosions)!
