    Your fire insurance should cover the smoke damage, also. You have probably done enough cleaning to cover the deductible, so you could hire a professional cleaning company to finish up -- using insurance proceeds. Good luck.

    Do you have magnifying glass in your shop?

    More and more, I find myself using my iphone6 as an "eye"phone. Not only for tiny stuff, but things I have trouble accessing at the right distance for my eyesight. I can take a picture of an electric motor tag without standing on my head or getting filthy and blow that sucker up to any size I need!

    Running an evaporative cooler without sufficient exhaust area will make it extremely humid in the room. The first time I actually read the instruction book on one, I was amazed. They cool based on air changes, not cooling the same air. A little 5200 required a full screen door and two open...

    Door Insulation Foil in or out?

    I put the foil facing inside on my doors; made a tremendous difference in my shop, both summer and winter. It was hard to stand near that west door on a summer afternoon until I added the insulation. Cut it just right so I could bow it a little and snap it into the door panels. Looks okay, too. DW

    Bearing Packers

    I've never used a packer that was worth the trouble and mess. I'd rather pack them by hand! dw
