Just got off the phone with them. They still had a fathers day special going on were they had the lift with the seat, oil drain and light for $1949. Not as good of a deal but still better than anywhere else I have looked so I ordered it.:rocker:

    OT House Plans

As others said, check out all the open houses. We bought our house about a year and a half ago and still check out open houses to get decorating and remodeling ideas. Also as said before, design to allow for cheep additions. My last house was a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath ranch. But it had a full...

Need some input on a few tools I'm looking to get

I will second the hf digital caliper. I have used mine for about 8 years now. I check it with my better calipers every so often and it always checks out ok.

What do u wear when wrenching?

I do the same. I get my work pants for $2 a pair. Nice part is that if the get too greasy I can just toss them.

I measured my usable garage space today....

Do you want to get a car in there? If you did not I would build a 3 foot deep bench going across the back of the garage. Under the bench I would put some shelves behind doors and also a toolbox built in. Over the bench you could build more shelves for stuff not used as often. Then I would...

    Locking your toolbox?

I always locked my box too. It gave me a chance to do a midday cleanup and tool check to make sure nothing was misplaced though out the morning.

    Newbie with wood cutting/building questions.

Jack said it. Lots of clamps too. To do long straight cuts get yourself a good straight edge and clamp it to your work. I have a cheap table saw and like the straight edge better for anything other than rough work. After that I would say a hand drill and router would be next. I just started my...

    Greasy shop rags?

My wife found a place that sells old uniforms. They usually have big boxes full of used rags that they sell for $5-$10. I use them to wipe my hands and small stuff first. Then they go into a pile and get used for big spills and then they get tossed. My last box lasted me over a year. For under...

    One More Lift Engineering Question

I am not an engineer but I have put many vehicles on a lift over the years. My biggest concern would be if you were removing parts off the front. Ex, front suspension work. The more weight off the front, the more the CG moves rearward. If that CG gets to the edge of the table, I would be worried...

Adding a garage in the basement

I bought my house last year and it was built about 5 years ago. I have an attached 2 car on the main floor and a second driveway on the other side of my house that goes down to a large 1 car garage in the basement. I don't see a difference between the 2 garages. Both have a bedroom over them. I...

    Woodworking table

I have been thinking about this and my plan is to make a few smaller tables all on casters. 2 or 3 about 4 to 6 foot long that are the same hight and then smaller tables for my different tools that would put each tool at the height of the bigger ones. That way I can put whatever tool I am using...

a little help diagnosing a hard start condition and calling Snap On MT2400 users

My last 2 Focus had the 2.3L and both would do as you described. There was a TSB to reflash the PCM for the problem. I reflashed the PCM in my first one and it only fixed it for a while then the problem came back. It is a little annoying but don't hurt anything so I haven't even bothered to have...

    My spare tire was stolen

I remember when I worked at the ford dealership they had some. It would fit into the hole for the winch crank. I would call the dealership and see what they have.

Best battery charger i ever had!!!!

I have the same charger and love it. I bought mine from walmart a few years ago. Just a little hint. If the charger starts to charge and kicks off in a minute and says bad battery, try it again. Some times it takes a few tries to charge a really drained battery.
