    Air duct and vent cleaning

House is 20+ years old...we have lived here 4 years. Do not believe the air ducts / vents have ever been cleaned. Does anyone have wisdom to share? We want quality, but don't want to get "upsold" a bunch of services we don't need. Thanks! Daubs

    Work bench top

I scavenged left over 2x4's and 2x6's from around the shop, used those as my base. Then topped with 1/2" plywood. Same method used in last garage...lasted me 15 years. I figure if it gets worn, beat up, I can replace easily.

    Home paint spray gun recommendation?

Wife is super crafty, loves home projects. We are replacing all the base and trim in the house, painting it all white. She also wants to paint all the doors in the house. They are white now...she wants a slightly different color. She wants a spray gun. Lots out there to choose from...Wagner...

    Shop size help

Acreage we purchased had a 30'x40' pole barn. I love it! It now has power and a mezzanine in the last 10' to store stuff. My plan is to start the restoration for the 1972 Chevy K-20 when the weather warms up. Build the biggest you can afford...you will not regret it! Be prepared for friends...

Back to country life, and a 40'x30' shop!

Got some time in the shop this weekend. Wife got me a mini-fridge (very cool!), and I rigged up air compressor line from the unit to my spool. This guy helped out... : )

Back to country life, and a 40'x30' shop!

It. Is. Done! Started this journey in July of 2018...finally complete. The Shop has full power! No more stringing extension cords from the house. No more circuits tripped. Just pure, clean, excellent power!

Back to country life, and a 40'x30' shop!

Good progress this weekend. Trencher rented Friday, spent good chunk of time Saturday and Sunday laying wire, and filling in the trench. Note to self: filling in trench by hand is hard work...good thing my wife's 15 year old son was willing to help out (I threw him some $$ after the fact for...

Back to country life, and a 40'x30' shop!

Shop is already wired...been running Dad's old construction extension cords down there for a while. Going to run 125 amps of power down there. Have welder, 240 air compressor on the big outlets. I'm just stoked to have power finally in the shop. Been working / saving / planning for over a year...

Should be getting the power line soon. While I have the trench dug, thinking about laying a propane line to the shop as well. Any issues having power and propane line in the same trench?

Back to country life, and a 40'x30' shop!

Shop had been mouse free since I have owned it (key word here "had")... Neighbors said previous owners never had issues with mice. Of course, now that I've walled in most of the shop, and put insulation behind the OSB, I figured it was only a matter of time... Last weekend I heard little...

Go for it! I've added close to 300 square feet of space. Plan on adding shelves up there to better utilize loft storage. Biggest problem I have now is keeping all my brother's stuff out of my shop. He seems to think it's his storage space as well...(Mmmmmm, nope!) :lol_hitti
