    New garage floor already chipped

Just had my 24x32 unheated garage built last summer. The concrete work looked to be top notch when poured and after it cured. However, after a long snowy winter the floor is heavily chipped up where the cars were parked. The concrete guy offered to repair the spalling, but Im on my own to...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

How is that bisley cabinet holding up? Ive looked at those but wasn't sure how sturdy they would be?

    Wood top for tool cabinet

Id rip all three to 5 29/32 and make them all the same size. I think I would over size it a bit so i hangs over, unless there is some reason not to? A good rip blade on your table saw will leave a clean enough edge for glueing a workbench top. Good luck.

    Wiring conundrum

I have a flush mount box, newly rewired for adequate power now. My walls are insulated and sheathed. I plan to surface mount all my wiring in conduit. My question is, how do i transition from a flush mount panel box to surface mount emt? If i haven't made myself clear, let me know. And...

1 correct size heater, or 2 half sized?

There seems to be an initial savings if I were to buy 2 half sized electric heaters as opposed to a single, correctly sized unit. Any disadvantages to doing that? I need 40-50 btu to heat my space if that matters. This will be all electric, no gas at this time. Any opinions are appreciated.

    Heating a 24x48 insulated shop

Im holding off on propane and kerosene. Id rather not deal with refills midwinter etc. Anyone heat their place with electric only? Id like to get an idea of cost.

    Heating a 24x48 insulated shop

Well let me clarify, quicker heat than a wood stove. Calculations say i need about 35000 btu. That should get me about a 50 degree raise in temp, which should be ok. Real dry up here, terribly dry. I wasn't worried about moisture. Should I be?

    Heating a 24x48 insulated shop

I need to add occasional heat to my shop. It is 2x4 framed, insulated and Im in southeast Idaho with temps dropping to -10 on occasion, but hovering around +15 id guess. For simplicity sake, I am thinking all electric. The only other option is propane, which Im not sure would be any cheaper...

    Best option for exposed wiring/framing?

Garage is almost finished (pics forthcoming), but its just a place to park. I wont be insulating it, just storing cars and lawn tools. Should i go with emt, or can i get away with exposed romex. I have no idea what the code says and it wont be inspected.

    Ingersoll Rand SS-5 any good?

Looking at compressors. Saw this one is available and wanted to know what you thought. Never sprayed finish or sanded, but would like the option. Will this do?
