One thing to consider with the air compressor dryer so close to the compressor is the air hasn’t had much time to cool off. It will have more time to cool once it’s on your woodworking side and allow the moisture in the line to condensate.

    What did your garage cost

Built my 28x28 with 10 foot ceilings in 2003 and cost about $15,000 with me and my dad doing everything except the concrete work. Ran out of funds and didn’t put in a ceiling or insulate, ended doing that around 2010 for about another $1500.

    Getting a compressor in...

I used 4 to 5 sections of pipe to roll mine into place. Had 2 helpers help hold it steady while rolling it and I handled the pipes.

    Painting bathroom and kitchen cabinets

I concur with jar944’s advice and suggest a pre-cat lacquer primer and top coat. If you happen live on the east coast check to see you’re near a Wurth store. I get all my cabinet lumber and finishing materials from them and they can help you get right stuff to last another 25 years...

Painting a vehicle in a standard 2car garage

If you get enough ventilation the overspray won’t be too bad. I hung plastic on the walls and setup a old whole house ventilation fan in a window that probably pulled 4000-5000 cfm. I had very little overspray on the plastic when I was done. Like others have said, you can’t have enough light...

compressor condensate piping critique / help?

I have mine piped with a very similar design and have been pleased with how much it helps. I have 24 feet between my first and second drops but rarely get water out of the second. Anything is better then nothing and you can always change or add more pipe to the design later.

    Using Heat to Degrease?

I've heard that soaking petrified grease covered parts in simple green heated up in an old crockpot works amazingly well. Haven't tried myself, been looking for a cheap crockpot at yard sales instead of buying a new one.

    Power washer pump protector

I had to replace the unloader valve on my pressure washer this summer because it was corroded causing the engine to stall when releasing the trigger. Would flushing the pump with the antifreeze also help prevent that as well?

    Samsung French Door Fridge Fixed!

My Samsung did the same thing, could hear the ice maker flip but wasn't making ice. Was like that for about 4 months, then we lost power for about an hour and when it came back on the fridge had some error message where the temp is usually displayed. The manual explained how to clear the error...

Help identify model of this snap-on 40 gallon air compressor

You might already know this but the tag in the second pic has the pressure ratings info for the tank and but does say the tank was built on 1991, so the compressor was likely built around that time. I take it the compressor is for sale and you're trying to track down stats like CFM and PSI?

    Help with door seal

My father in law had the same issue. He added a glue down garage door threshold that kept the water out. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00008WFT7/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    hello from Richmond, VA

Welcome from Chester VA. I've always had trouble finding subcontractors too. In my latest attempt I talked with 5 people for estimates about a back porch and only 2 ever got back with me.

    Another new guy

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around this site for awhile and am finally taking the time to do my introductory post. I live in Chesterfield, VA and build my 28x28 detached garage about 10 years ago but never finished the inside and I came across this while looking for ideas on ceilings and...
