Installing transfer switch to flush mounted breaker box

Thanks all for the feedback. It took awhile but I made it back to my son’s house. Flush mount kit installed:

Installing transfer switch to flush mounted breaker box

The transfer switch is the same as in post #8, just 8 circuits instead of 10. It won’t cost him anything because I had it after replacing it with a 10 circuit transfer switch. Cost or should I say lack of, is the reason for going this route. Appreciate all suggestions so far.

Installing transfer switch to flush mounted breaker box

larry4406 is spot on with my dilemma. My son is in NC and I’ll be going down next month to install the panel I have after upgrading to the 10 circuit transfer switch. He’s not inclined to remove the front of the panel. I’ll be curious to find out why there are so many handle tied breakers.

Installing transfer switch to flush mounted breaker box

I will be installing an 8 circuit transfer switch for my son to hook up a generator when needed. I’ve installed several of these but all of the breaker boxes have been surface mounted. How would you go about installing a surface mounted transfer switch to a flush mounted circuit breaker box?

Pool pump low flow cut off

Thanks for the delay timer information. That helps with the delay issue. The pool is 10 feet deep and about 40 feet from the pump so not sure the sump pump float would be feasible. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Pool pump low flow cut off

We will be away for 2 weeks later this summer. I am looking to install a low/no flow cut off for the 240 volt pool pump for our in ground pool. The main issue is the timing for the pump to operate long enough (usually < minute) to build normal operating pressure. I assume I will need a relay and...

Just a follow up, Snap On replied with part #s. Not cheap but cheaper than a new box.

Thanks for the reply, I do have the “notches” for different spacing of the rails.

Change out drawer, Snap On KRA/Classic box

Good afternoon all. I’m toying with the idea of changing out the large/deep drawer on my KRA 2422. I’d like to replace it with 2 shallower drawers. Anyone do this before? Any other ideas to make the drawer more useful? Don’t need it to store bulky items and more drawer space would always be...

Dust in house, I will try distilled water

Ok, please tell me more about your experiences with Venta. I use 2 wick style humidifiers to avoid the dust but need to replace the wicks every week or so. The Venta seems expensive but certainly may be worth while.
