    Wow man. Thanks for the warning. I am not a welder, but I use brake cleaner for cleaning up greasy **** all the time. I never knew it can change when heated. I wouldn't think twice about spraying something down and then firing up a torch. I will now though. :eyecrazy:

    I'm going to have to give the atf/acetone a try. I never get around to ordering Kroil from their website and you can't get it anywhere else that I know of. I always have some ATF laying around and a solvent of some sort though. Usually I end up using PB for a couple of days ahead of time...

    That's great! I have a Snap-on roll cab from the 60's that I needed a couple of slides for. Snap-On customer service told me sure they would send them....For like 30 bucks a piece!!:eyecrazy:

    Why do you need slides, are they bent? Usually, I just clean them well with a solvent then file the sharp edges and coat them with paraffin wax.
