Dewalt torque wrenches. Yay or nay?

That Precision Instruments PREC3FR250F looks nice. By the time I get it shipped to Canada, it would be well over $200CDN. Buy once, cry once. I may take back the $69 wrench I bought from Princess Auto and budget for the PI wrench in the future.

Dewalt torque wrenches. Yay or nay?

Dewalt makes micrometer torque wrenches (or rebrands them). I noticed them on sale at a local store. The DWMT75462 is $90.00 on sale, Canadian. I'm looking for a decent 1/2" torque wrench just for wheel changes and other random suspension work, but I'm not willing to invest in a Snap On or...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I agree, based on price. I have a 24oz Snap On, and a 47oz Trusty Cook. I find the snap on handle to be a little more comfortable, but not worth 3 times the price. Both handles grip equally well when lubed up, unlike my Estwing ball peins. I've almost thrown my Estwings a few times, even when...

    Dewalt 20v - 18v adapter question.

It will work on all batteries. However, you need to cut the little plastic protrusions off of the front to make it fit onto the flexvolt batteries. I haven't used a new 6.0 battery, but I see no reason it won't fit. I use it on my 18v grinder with a Flexvolt battery all the time.

Suggestions: Snap-On tools that worth buying

Snap On ratchets are great. When you only need a few ratchets, the price isn't such a big deal. It's also nice that they make a lot of specialty ratchets. Their extra long double-box ratchet/non-ratchet wrenches are nice, too. Definitely worth the money. I really like Snap On pliers. The...

Snap On makes PINK prybars?? Since when?

No, it's not cheap. Since ebay uses this Global Shipping Program, they tack on "import charges" which AREN'T duty fees, they're brokerage fees. I'm going to contact my Snap On guy here and ask if he has any. I like the pink tools because no one ever borrows them lol.

Snap On makes PINK prybars?? Since when?

I found this on ebay. Here's the link. If you type the part number into the Snap On site, you come up with nothing. If you Google search the part number, SPBS704AP, you come up with this. I'd buy a set, but I'm not paying ebay prices for shipping to Canada. Is there anything else new that...

    Short wide blade screwdriver??

    Who makes a 24mm 6 point wrench?

Gray Tools Canada makes 6 point wrenches up to 15/16, but only up to 18mm in science.

Trying to decide between DeWalt Flexvolt and Milwaukee M18 (& Fuel)?

The new Flexvolts are 9 amp hour as well, when used on 20v tools. The Flexvolt grinder is a beast. Probably the best cordless grinder. Only the large carpentry tools make the Flexvolt stand out besides the grinder. If I bought my own cordless stuff, I'd probably buy Milwaukee because they seem...

    8 point sockets? What for

Garage door guys use them a lot. Sprocket set screws and drum set screws are usually square. Also, square nuts used to be quite common. I have a full set of impact 8 points that are life savers when I'm ripping out really old stuff. Square wood lag bolts are quite common in really old homes.

    What do the Pros use...

I have the KNIPEX 95 61 190, but they're a little light duty for Stainless 3/16. It will cut it, but I had to squeeze for all I'm worth. 3/16 regular 7x19 rope is much easier to cut than stainless. My Arm HSC-600 swage crimper has a built in cutter that I use for the big stuff, and my Knipex...

    educate me on screwdrivers

Good choice. I bought the same ones. I wish they came in Torx tip. I chose Wera for my torx drivers. I liked the Williams line because there are many sizes you can easily add on to your set, like #4 phillips (which I actually use) and a plethora of slotted sizes.

Wall Mount opener with roof-line track question

The bumper springs don't push the door down. They prevent the door from falling out of the tracks if you fling it open to far manually during a power outage.
