    Sealing a sliding barn door...

Thanks for the input guys. CreekRat, that's an option we've considered as it seems none of the solutions to try and seal the sliding door itself seem terrific. The idea of a door behind the door is how we got to looking for a glass patio door to span the space. It just doesn't appear...

    Sealing a sliding barn door...

Hey all, I've got a barn/wood-workshop build underway and am trying to solve a door problem maybe someone can help with. The look of the barn is sort of carriage house and I want a traditional sliding door on the front. Since the barn will be heated and insulated (75kw hot dawg and...

    moving a lathe and mill

Interestingly enough we just did this due to a move. A ~1T BP J head. I was under some time constraints and ended up hiring a rigger. They cranked the table in, placed a 6x6 under the ram, and lifted it 4" off the floor with a forklift under the 6x. (we had to contend with the garage ceiling...

    Hey all from MA

Bull, I'm on the Cape. Bourne to be exact. I've seen these barns and love them. But compared to stick built I think they're fairly pricey. If I could do anything, I'd go post & beam, real old barn style. But not sure that makes the most sense for insulation, and running electrical, air etc...

    Hey all from MA

Hey, just found this site via a link from tractorbynet. I'm in the process of looking for plans for a woodworking shop/garage so figured I'd dig around here for some ideas. My usage will not be car related. I need more of a 1.5story barn structure for a wood shop on the first floor...
