    Need new windows

The Simonton 5500 is almost identical to the 6500, Simonton sells it as 6500 at Home Depot, but for all I have read/seen/touched they are identical. Just so HD can say no one else sells this window.

    Need new windows

Pellas are nice, but too expensive for what they offer. Not good in terms of price vs quality. Stay away from HD/Lowes American Craftsman series as well as Andersens, especially the Silverlines, or any brand that says XXXX by (name brand company). Good window brands include but not limited to...

    Jack Stand Storage

Take this as constructive criticism. That is a TERRIBLE waste of space. A thread on what to do with a narrow bookshelf would have been better. I find taking the middle out, and stacking them on each other and in the box they come in to be the most efficient so far, plus, if it's in a box...

    Craftsman Industrial Singles CHEAP!

Yes, it ruins the black oxide. So does soaking it in vinegar. Too bad I found out after soaking some good adjustables in it. It wears them off and they get flaky and start to rust. But black oxide is generally not a good rust preventative finish IMO. Chrome or powder coated usually does better...

    Filling saw cut expansion joints

I'd just leave it alone, maybe put a foam filler strip like for the windows and doors in there and lay it over. I'm not an expert on concrete, but it seems like it's there so the concrete can expand and contract, hence filling it would make it obsolete. Carpet and pad does do wonders to fill up...

Richard (Canadian Made) Pry Bars at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Not sure if the black is harder, like I said I read it somewhere, maybe the black ones are decent. I won't buy the Richard brand again though considering it was the first I ever heard of them and they didn't please.

Richard (Canadian Made) Pry Bars at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Souther yellow pine trim. One of the softest woods out there. Went back to the HF $3 pry bar that has kept going and going for years. These are utter garbage. I got the Chromoly ones. I remember someone on here saying they were meant to take more abuse or be harder or something so I brought...

Richard (Canadian Made) Pry Bars at Ollie's Bargain Outlet

DONT buy it. Atleast you can return the Craftsman or anything else. I ruined 2, haven't used the third yet, they're thrown in the junk pile. Waste of money, wish I hadn't bought them. To those people saying I shouldn't take a hammer to a pry bar, get real. A PRY BAR that can't take a beating...

Electric bill went up from 123.00 to 811.00

Not possible unless you're starting a grow operation in there, and even still. They might have made an error, entirely possible. Have you looked at the meter personally?
