    Garage Door Insulation

I was thinking of insulating my wooden garage doors (standard 4 stacked horizontal pieces) and hard to find any kits, etc. Any thoughts or experiences? Also how does one handle between the panels...I assume you need a little gap when the door rolls up (mabe you overlap the insulation)? Thx

carpet runners/ floor mats for car tracks

I used some Gladiator drain floor tiles (2 per tire). They don't seem to move if I roll in slow :) I did prep well but was still concerned about tire pickup over time. I can easily move them for sweeping, etc.

To clear or not to clear !!!!! Epoxy coat

I just painted my floor. I used a moderate amount of flakes I used non-skip additive to the epoxy as well. Afterward I could feel some of the flakes (by hand and barefoot) and some would flake off (remember you just shower them so some don't really embed well in the epoxy). I then used the...

    Flakes ? for a rookie

I used 2 kits from SW but only used 1 packet of flakes. I guess it was light but it looks ok to me. As said, throw high in air else you get some clumps (like I did a little). I did notice later that the flakes don't embed into the paint well... you can run your finger and feel them. I suspect...

    Epoxy Prep Advice

Run your finger over the surface. After I (and neighbor) etched ours (his with muratic) we both had a chalky film that came off on our finger. After pressure washing it went away.

    mat over paint?

Am in process of finishing 1/2 of garage at a time (2.5 car garage) with epoxy then clear coat but still fearful of hot tire pickup. I was thinking of maybe using a mat for under each tire (2 long mats instead of 1 large mat). I saw Auto Care Products Inc 70099 20-Feet by 23-Inch Heavy Duty...

    Muriatic Acid Question

Neighbor and me are both doing our floors at same time (same builder of homes at same time). I used the etching acid solution from Sherwin Williams - phosphoric acid-based etcher and he used muratic acid. We both had same results and chalky finish which we used a power washer to remove. I did...

    White dust/film after etching

After much research I decided to go with the Sherwin Williams Sheild Crete epoxy for my ~25 y/o garage floor. I did the water bead test and there are spots where it seems to bead, and also puddle due to low spots. So I used the SW degreaser today, scrubbed, and washed. I then used their etching...
