My sister and I both have tack hammers that our Dad used redoing upholstery. She more than I have memories of him, a mouth full of tacks fastening new upholstery to chairs. He was a General Supervisor for Oldsmobile here in Lansing but when he first went to work there in '48 he worked two jobs...
How cool is this?
I'll jump in.
I bought a set of SK tubing wrenches back in the late 70s. Those have never distorted on even the toughest tubing nuts. They were a great buy.
Quick story. Years ago I broke a Craftsman 1/2" drive ratchet attempting to remove shocks. I went to the nearest auto parts store to get a replacement as Sears was not close and I was in a hurry to finish the job. They carried SK tools and that’s what I bought. Well even using a piece of pipe...
When I was living in Texas I worked for Overseas Motors in Ft. Worth,a British Leyland dealership. We used these to align Rolls Royce, Jaguar, MG and Triumph as well as whatever else we would get in, and this was 1978/79.

Carbon Monoxide and many solvents will seek to the lowest level. I have an acquaintance up this way that was burned badly in a pit at a large dealership years ago. A drain and REAL GOOD ventilation is an absolute must. I do hope that the Bunker has adequate ventilation and an alarm.
Obviously you have more $ than at least 95% of the members of this board but you have created a super duper place. That is over the top and now all I have to do is not be envious of your creation. Enjoy your facility because I know I would. Congrats to your and Mrs. Utah for a job well done.
The township can require you to dismantle the building and remove it. They can give you a time limit to do so. And fine you for the infraction plus additional for each day you go past their limit. BAD idea.
I need to paint my pole barn / shop. Steel siding. Any idea as to what it should be prepped with or just handle it as I would painting a car. Prepsol etc. Spray it or brush and roll it?
