Has anyone tried doing a resistive load test (battery fully charged) followed by a conductance/CCA test with something like a midtronics tester to see what's left after removing the surface charge? Would this be recommended or be of any value?

I have the GW 23pc 3/8 pass thru set. I like a well made ratchet as well as ratcheting wrenches. The pass thru set up may be a good middle ground some may want to try out. It's just getting harder to buy tools on a whim :( .

They're all likely to chip over time, but there are so many environmental variables that contribute to plating wear. Some times the worst thing for tools is just to sit there and not get used.
