I just bought a 7.5 HP Compressor and am wiring it up and am curious as to what size breaker and wire you guys here suggest. I was going to use a 60 amp breaker and #6 wire in emt to wire it to a 60 amp fused disconnect switch. Is this to much overkill??? :dunno: Thanks in advance Don

Not any chance of damage reslly. The compressor is a 7.5 hp 80 gallon tank it has a magnetic starter and the flashlight is 32 30. I know it's not pretty but I am almost certain code allows it. Maybe I'm wrong but everything I read says should be ok. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

I would like to know if its possible to take a NM 6 - 3 indoor wire out of my sub panel and run it across my finished garage ceiling and down the other wall. I know it needs attached every 4' 6" and 8" from the box but will it be ok. I want to use conduit but time and cash right now is tuff...
