Ive had both and the Carhartt stuff just last longer. When I was first starting out I had Dickies because they were cheaper but they seemed to wear out much faster than my dads Carhartt stuff so I switched and never looked back. He is still using a set of insulated coveralls from 1989, they have...
Still have some stuff left inside, Hardware and Caulk mostly. I think they close the doors at the end of the month.
The guy there told me Chaney bought them and is consolidating because the rent was too high.

On a plus everything they aren't taking to their other location (further than Lowes) is 80-90% off so I grabbed a few things I could use around the shop. The packs of stainless screws were normally...
Call up the customer service line, they should be able to ship you a rebuild kit. I have the same ratchet and got a rebuild about a year ago.
Edit: the kit comes with a new selector.
I have Lincoln, Miller and Hobart in the shop and don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I've been running a Lincoln Weld-Pak 140 for about 15 years mostly with .023 wire since I got my big miller welder but for many years I ran .035 through it too and it welded 3/16 just fine.
Thanks for the heads up
I put Cooper AT3s on my ram last time they had this deal and they have been great. cheaper than the Toyo or Nitto equivalents and they are made in the US.
