Shop lighting tubes vs screw in bulbs

Is there any benefit to running the 4ft tube light vs regular screw in type bulbs and just adding more of them. I'm gonna be adding more lights to my shop and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it.

    Binks mobile air compressor

You were right the snapping noise is coming from the magneto. I have it running now I had to free up a stuck valve and clean the points. But it runs pretty good now.

    Binks mobile air compressor

What is the clicking noise that comes from the distributor area on the Wisconsin TJD? Happens at tdc on every piston stroke.

    Binks mobile air compressor

I'm pretty sure it's a quincy pump. I have a small version of this one that I plan on using in my shop. This is a model 255-27. Quincy has very little information on these beside a parts book. Does anyone know anything about the Wisconsin engine it? Parts seem pretty scarce for them also...

Quincy model 310 vs. Quincy model 230

Wonder which compressor would work better for me in my home shop for fabrication and mechanic work. There is a guy near me with a model 310 for sale for 250 for a complete setup. I went and picked up a model 230 yesterday that needs valve work done to it for $40. The model 230 pits out 18 cfm...

    Old champion compressor

There is a grease fitting on the bottom of the unloader cover that has no ball on the end of the tip so it can vent. It does not vent there though. It gets returned to the intake from the line that goes there from the unloader. I took this line off while the coppressor was running and there is...

    Old champion compressor

Well be took apart the check valve. it was pretty clean but now when it shuts off I have air leaking out the intake. I must have put the valve back together wrong. Is there supposed to be air coming through the unloader the whole time the pump is running? Or does this have something to do with...

    Old champion compressor

I'm guessing one of these must be the check valve. It hold pressure other than the pin hole leak on the bottom and that is very little if any. It definitely leaks more once past 120 psi. MD the build up time from 0 to 100 psi too 17 minutes 23 seconds. That's not gonna work to well. The...

    Old champion compressor

Yeah it seems really slow. It took 33 minutes to build up to 150 psi from 0. I'm gonna time it from 0 to 100 psi and see how long that takes. MD the pump it self doesn't get very hot but the discharge tube coming off of the head does. I checked the temp with a temp gun and the last 5 minutes...

    Old champion compressor

I called the customer service number and they had me talk to a guy named Jessie. What are the number on your pump? It might be a model that they sent me information for already. I'm pretty sure the model pump will be on the flywheel side some where.

    Old champion compressor

I live by lake Michigan in South East Wisconsin so I'm pretty sure altitude isn't a big deal. The pin hole on the bottom isn't big at all. I haven't actually the tank up to check the hole but what I can see from the side it look smaller than 1/32". 0-150 psi took 32 minutes. I'll have to run it...

    Old champion compressor

Well got the new valves in. Runs good and build pressure to 150 psi. Only took 30 minutes to do it. Glad I got this old pump running. Think I'm gonna Mount it on my craftsman tank and see if the build up time improves with not having the small leak on the tank. Otherwise I'll probably sell it...

    Old champion compressor

Parts manuals for the following champion pneumatic machinery company compressor. Ren7, ren10, ren14 Re7, re10, re14 Se5, se10. Hopefully everyone will be able to search this to track down information on their old champion compressors. I'll post an update when I get the new valves and see if...

    Old champion compressor

I have been sifting through the parts manuals for the re7-14, ren7 through 14 and the se5 and 10. There are a lot of parts that are interchangeable between the models. Piston, rods, bearings flywheels, rings and governor parts. I'm not sure what all is available but I found it interesting. I...
