Wonder which compressor would work better for me in my home shop for fabrication and mechanic work. There is a guy near me with a model 310 for sale for 250 for a complete setup. I went and picked up a model 230 yesterday that needs valve work done to it for $40. The model 230 pits out 18 cfm @100 psi and the model 310 has 9 cfm @ 175 psi.

I rebuilt a 310 a few years ago. Solid compressor that chugged along quietly. I don't know much about the 230, but extra CFM is always a plus.
