    Heavy Axle helping hand

Good idea well executed. What did you use to produce the sketch?

Building a new Do-All band saw variable drive

Will you be applying any surface treatment to the belt running areas? Maybe a hard anodizing?

    My Garage Machine Shop

I hope you didn't drill into your box table while fabricating your cylinder holder. It would be a shame to mar such a fine specimen.

Show off your tubular projects here.

Lathe Electrical Cabinet Relocation. Here are a few photos of the tubular support structure to hold up the electrical cabinet on my lathe. It needed to be relocated to the top of the lathe to fit the lathe against the wall. As with most projects it is a functional improvement that will get...

John and Mitch go machine hunting...the adventure of the SS IronPoacher

Great score with the drill press. The last one I hauled on a trailer like yours was laid over on its side. BTW watch the automatic feed near the end of the of the spindle travel. I'm pretty sure there isn't an over travel limit.

    My Garage Machine Shop

Re: My Garage Shop Would you please stop copying my equipment purchases. Just how many GJ's have Quincy V4s? First it was the Doall bandsaw. Then the radial drill. Now you've found the same compressor. All I can say is great purchase!

My New Drill Press (Rebuild Required)

Looks like you have your work cut out for you. FYI the power elevating mechanism has an overtravel mechanism that I believe operates the clutch.

    The "Boom Pole Hitch"

John, I really hate to see you tax your mill and drill chuck with that 3/4 step shanked drill. I'm surprised you didn't set up on your radial arm drill press with a MT drill. Just poking fun at you. The hitch looks good.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

While searching Ebay for stronghold cabinets I came across this discussion board (yep the 12 Gauge Garage). A few months ago I bought back issues of Excellence Magazine. Bam! There's Jack again (or at least Black Beauty). Tonight I'm leafing through my latest copy of Car Craft. Wammo...

    Welding Table Question.

8'X12' 5/8" thick. Once I get it reasonably flat, I'll use it for chassis fabrication. Until then I use it as a general workbench.

    Taping electrical outlets?

Use Pass and Seymour's Plug Tails and there won't be any exposed conductor.

    Mendocino shop coming to life

Nice Lodge and Shipley lathe. I missed out adding an AVS to my collection. I learned on a Monarch 10EE and have spoiled by its variable speed. My 2013 L&S has a limited speed range. I love the garage and your location. Congrats on the design.
