    Vintage Sun Testing Equipment

A distributer testing machine may be worth something. Some mechanics know how to work them. They do stuff that none of the other machines do. Cars had distributers mostly thru the 70's.

    Strange hammer , maybe homemade?

I'd say that is the way it was made. The tiny tip side does not show signs of being ground down. Can't tell you it's name tho.

Just picked up an Allen E-136 Distributor Tester and an Allen E-420 Engine Analyzer

I'll bet that most of that stuff works. May need some checking and cleaning of the cables. Might have a couple of bad meters but most of them work.

    An APO Update

I went to High School on the island of Kauai. Class of '66. Made it back after drafted in the Army, 1969. Left in '72. It's been over 50 years now since I left there. Still miss it.

    Epoxy Cracked Toilet Bowl

There is a measurement for the spacing of the two bolts that hold the tank to the bowl. That is the only measurement they give in the web page. I have had the tank off the bowl recently and it has a large rubber donut to mate the two, I'll take the donut to the store with me and I'll measure the...

    Epoxy Cracked Toilet Bowl

The bowl only is less than $70. Have to take some measurements to see if it will work. The tank I have has old parts but they all work. I replaced the flapper about a month ago. I think we have pretty soft water.

    Epoxy Cracked Toilet Bowl

I'm convinced to replace the toilet. I didn't think it was possible to only buy the base but they are listed on the web page for my local harware store. The attachment bolts for the tank to the base have a measurement of 5.6 inches, Not sure I have that number correct right now but the...

    Epoxy Cracked Toilet Bowl

I over tighten the toilet bowl and it cracked. Was replacing the wax ring due to a leak. Now it's leaking again, not as bad this time. Only one question, can I seal this back up with epoxy after taking it apart to get everything straight?

    Help Identifying Vintage Manbee Drive-On Ramp (Model D 300 C, 1940s?)

Sounds like you have enough room there. Wish I could do something like that. I ran a small garage for a guy for a taxi fleet owner. He was supposed to be gone for 2 or three weeks but got stuck where he was and I was running his shop for 6 months. Just one bay but there was a trench under where...

    Help Identifying Vintage Manbee Drive-On Ramp (Model D 300 C, 1940s?)

The purpose of those ramps is not for taking the wheels off. You pull the car or truck up to the rotaing plates so you can turn the wheels and do a front end alignment. You better have a lot of garage space because this is not a lift. There used to be garages that specialized in front end...

    Walker-Turner Bandsaw 16" BEAST

I like it. Prefer to keep original paint myself. Just clean it up good.

I found a Bonney socket set case with 12-pt 1/4 sockets

I had the v59c set many years ago. Had it for many years. It was stolen. Have never been able to find a replacement. Edit to add. Mine was the metal case. I still miss that set. I do have a more complete, expensive Snap On set that I do like. But the Bonney was special.
