I just got this offloaded from my truck and it's a BEAST of a saw. It came with a ¾hp motor. It must weigh close to 350lbs and is a SOLID piece of equipment.

I initially thought I'd restore it but I really like the crinkly original paint finish.

I just wanted to share it and I'll make more posts when I get around to replacing bearings and making it functional.20250528_134317.jpg20250528_135257.jpg20250528_134245.jpg20250528_124300.jpg20250528_124315.jpg20250528_143838.jpg20250528_143856.jpg20250528_143832.jpg17484685305985204914590638292434.jpg

Awesome!

My goal in the farm shop once I ditch the four-wheeler and wood splitter stored in there (actually, called get both running and put back into use), is to buy a decent older drill press and band saw. The cheapo drill press and super-low-end Black and Decker homeowner grade bandsaw I have just plain ****.

Also, that woodsplitter and ATV take a third of the space in my shop (which was built in the '50s as a one-car garage), and they really make moving around in there a pain (especially with the door down).

Those are great saws. Even better when they have the slow speed gearbox so you can cut metal with it. Be careful about grabbing the table when moving it around. The tilt mechanism is a weak spot and parts are scarce.

Yeah, that was my thought too. I would always remove the table before transporting a saw because the trunnions for many vintage saws (lookin at you Delta) were made of pot metal and dont take much abuse.

For the OP, good luck with the saw.
