School me! Actually this might be a good idea

If GJ has the best knowledge why send them somewhere else? Then we would have to be correcting their misguided education. Yes, the main forums are for for the finer points of tools and their use, but give the new learners a place to reference and learn so they don't have to post some of the...

School me! Actually this might be a good idea

I have seen the School me! thread of recent. Yeah there was some fun and some jokes, but I think most of us knew the OP just phrased the question wrong. "What are the pros and cons of a 6 point socket vs a 12 pt socket?" might have been a better question. This is to the admin and mods along...

Knipex Combination Pliers for the Pocket

Check out the Knipex pliers wrench. I have the 10" and they are my go to "magic wrench". There are different sizes, the 7" might be really handy for you.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I use the 1/2" often, also the 3/8". Not much need for the 1/4" for me. My buddy liked mine so much he bought the same.

    Stuck Pallet Jack

Pressure release valve or the linkage to it. Sometimes jacks get stuck in the up position and need a bit of a nudge to get the hydraulic fluid back into the reservoir. Stand on it and activate the pressure release valve.

We started our fire with the same device last night.

Just a important reminder about jack safety

Never trust a jack when your body is underneath anything, always use stands. Why risk yourself if a .10 cent o-ring fails.

Kobalts new 24v Brushless line of power tools launching, check out the video review.

Hmmm, comparing a 3/8" impact wrench against 1/4" impact drivers. Who thinks an impact driver is the appropriate tool for lug nuts?

    Quality Pocket Knife

I use this at work. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-folding-lock-back-ulility-knife-black/p-00938002000P?prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3 Uses a standard utility blade so no need to sharpen, just replace the blade. And if you loan it and the blade gets "treated unkindly" or lost, no big deal.
