I had the yellow pvc made for gas run with risers at both ends. Lucky for me I had a firefighter buddy who does hvac and his other buddy works for local gas company. I had a contractor who was gonna do 1/2" steel line which probably wasn't big enough with the 80k btu heater I put out there.
I had my whole detached garage sprayed with foam. I had thought about doing a drop ceiling but wanted to still be able to store things in the rafters. I can get my garage up to 80 when its in the single digits outside.. Got quoted 3" on the walls (2x4) and 4" on the roof (2x6) and they went...
I had a problem with my Mr Heater natural gas heater. My heater was not lighting at all. I would light it by hand with torch to get it going but it could not re-ignite itself. I called the manufacturer and it turned out to be a bad main control board. They had a problem with the boards not...
I had my detached garage spray foamed. 22' x 30' x 8' ceilings roof is approx 4/12 pitch. Ceiling rafters were 2x6.
I had 3" of foam in walls and 4" of foam in rafters and it is sealed very well. I also have a 75k btu heater, which is overkill but it heats up quickly.
83trekker,
Sounds like the whole board might is probably bad now. I have the same heater, Mr Heater 75K NG and it wasn't lighting. I was able to lite it by hand with a propane lighter when it tried to light itself. My heater was only 1 year old but the good news is the new board fixed...
akdiesel,
This is an awesome display! Can't wait to see the youtube video.
Our Dept is mostly hydrant so no tankers but the 2 trucks have pretty much everything, 1000 gallon tank, enough hose to lay in, ladders and rescue equip.
You could try searsoutlet.com It lists all the refurb, open box, store demo etc and are usually 40% or more off list. May not have it in your area though, its hit or miss.
I've had one of those for a few years. Served me well before I upgraded to a 5hp 60 gal vertical. They run quiet and put out a decent amount of air. Way better than a new oil-less compressor in my opinion.
I have the Ryobi Lithium Ion set. I would check on upgrading the batteries.
I found this at Home depot, fyi.

Tubing benders are inexpensive and work very good.
Although if you don't have one and need to do something right then I've used a baseball bat to bend some brake lines. The varying diameter of the bat is nice for different size bends.
That looks exactly like my garage except mine is 22 x 30. I just added 220v out there.
What kind of electrical did you do?
From the picture it looks like its stud's inside. Do you plan on insulating and drywall?
Congrats on the garage!
