Last Of The Craftsman Wrenches At Lowes

Well, it looks like Lowes is selling the last of the real made in USA wrenches at a discount. These were produced at their ill-fated factory in TX which is now just a memory. I wonder how many they actually got to produce before they shut down for good? https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN/5002857563

Craftsman MAX AXESS--Can The 3/8 Ratchets Be Rebuilt?

I have a set of Craftsman MAX AXESS ratchets and sockets...the 3/8 gave up the ghost yesterday and I really LOVE this set. Since Sears is pretty much worthless as far as replacing tools go (plus there are none left where I love) what would the alternative be? TIA

Can Anyone ID or Date This Parker Vise?

No, the spindle stays put when the vise is opened fully. I'm not sure what is holding it in place, but when the vise is opened, and you pull on the handle, there is a *slight* spring action so there IS something retaining this. FWIW, the guy I bought it from claims he's had it in the box since...

Can Anyone ID or Date This Parker Vise?

There is indeed no hole for the collar. No filler, etc and the paint *looks* to be original. I have NO clue as to what's going on regarding that....

Can Anyone ID or Date This Parker Vise?

I picked up this vise today at a tag sale for 50.00. The owner coated it with cosmoline and it really looks mint. It's a good, heavy vise - I'd like to ID the date built (approx) and is it normal to have smooth jaws? TIA!

    Maglite C-cell Conversion

I've had MagLites since I was about 4-5 years old. No one was more dedicated to that brand than me. I even have a few of the elusive 7-D cell Mags which frankly are more of a weapon than a flashlight, lol. Recently I've been trying to find a decent and bright rechargeable torch. I bought a NEBO...

Can Someone Explain Geo Thermal Heating To Me?

Thanks for the replies! Given the situation, I think I'll stay with oil! If I ever built new from ground-up, this still seems like a great idea...for an existing older home, not so much!

Can Someone Explain Geo Thermal Heating To Me?

Last week I had a rep from a geo-thermal company contact me to see if I "qualified" for geo-thermal heat. No mention of cost whatsoever so I sent him on his way. However, my interest was piqued. Does anyone here have it? Is it reliable? Cost/year? I currently have oil and I'd say my cost for the...

Where Do I Find This Ratchet?

I was over a guys house the other day (picking up some tires from Marketplace) and we needed a 3/8 ratchet for a quick adjustment. He goes to his shop and gets a ratchet. It was a Husky product. What got me is that it had a knurled handle that you'd spin and it would turn the ratchet head. This...

    ID & Value of Workbench

Anyone here have an idea of the maker of this workbench? I can pick it up for a few hundred but that seems a bit high...it's less than 1 mile form my house.
