    Anyone have multiple garage workshops?

I used to have the garage at home, a rented shop space, and the the shop at work. It was very hard trying to remember which one of those locations the particular tool I needed was.

    Help with ramp to garage

I would use road base, you want this stuff to pack down and give you a nice solid surface

    Decent tool set of 4x4ing

My question is: what spare parts do you carry? I don't know what the weak links are on Unimogs but think through the process of changing what ever parts you carry and make sure you have all those necessary tools.

    Getting power to my shop

I was considering using metal rigid conduit where it comes out of the ground on both sides. But I don't know which is worse it getting brittle over time or it rusting out?

    Getting power to my shop

I believe NEC says to use schedule 80 coming out of the ground as it is subject to damage in that area.

    Getting power to my shop

I'm looking at XHHW-2 wire and 4/0 seems to be good for 205 amps and 230 for 250 kcmil. After figuring in the voltage drop probably better to step up a size. The place I'm thinking of buying it from actually has the 250 kcmil slightly cheaper than 4/0. What's your reasoning for no disconnect...

    Getting power to my shop

I haven't done a load calculation. Do you do one for the equipment you have or the equipment you want? I'd probably end up needing 2,500 amps of 3 phase power if I did the "I won the lottery and can buy every piece of equipment I've ever wanted scenario." I'm sure its overkill but I have 200...

    Getting power to my shop

I need the GJ experts to look over my plan to make sure I’m not missing anything. I have an electric pole 85 feet away from my newly built shop. The pole has a meter and a 200 amp panel. The panel has a main breaker and has feed trough lugs at the bottom us the bus bars. If I understand...

Very simple home (or business) inventory program ?

I have a pretty mediocre knowledge of google sheets and forms but I was able to throw together a simple google form with 2 questions and the ability to add a picture. Box number? Contents? Take a picture of the contents I have this info go into a google sheet, every form response is a new...

Garage door that travels straight up

When I was ordering my doors through Home Depot there was several options for the tracks. Vertical track extension (I think that's what it was called) was one of them. I did a 4 foot extension on a 10 foot door that's opposite of a 14 foot door so I would have the same head room under the doors...

crazy idea: could you route the suction side of refrigerant through a heat exchanger to cool the fuel? I don't know if the refrigerant would absorb any more heat after coming out of the evaporator on +100° day, probably not worth the effort

    Looking at subcompact/compact tractors.

I have 10 acres and bought an old 1999ish Kubota L3000DT about a year ago. It's great, it's low hours and 1 owner, the guy's widow was selling it on consignment at a nearby Kubota dealership. It's done everything I need shredding, spreading gravel for a driveway, and it was strong enough to lift...

I'm guessing the tail of the spring was originally in the notch? I might gave that trick a try.
