Top-Swing Garage Door on a Budget?

What manufacturer did you go with or did you make one yourselves?

Top-Swing Garage Door on a Budget?

Wanted to bump this, cause I am looking at possibly trying to build something similar to the full single door swing out as well. I contacted bifold/schweiss and their prices are pretty pricey right now, but I am sure for good reason. It's just more than what I would want for my relatively more...

Convert Mac Tech 1000 slides to soft close?

I agree. Also, my slides are not all consistent in the amount of force required to open/close all of the drawers anymore. This causes me to more often than not to open/close drawers harder than needed and causing everything inside to shift around more often.

Convert Mac Tech 1000 slides to soft close?

Anyone know if it is possible to switch out the slides on the Mac Tech 1000 box to be soft close?

    My 2-Car Porcelain Tile Install....

I figured just as much. At least now I won't ever have to second guess myself once the job is done if I should have tried making the longer tiles work. Just needed that extra affirmation of how much the 60/72" tiles would be to try and do, haha.

    My 2-Car Porcelain Tile Install....

Thanks for the info. Good to know that there is some wiggle room when doing this in multiple steps or over multiple days. I am going to be doing a wood look tile for the garage floor. IMO, the longer the length of the tile, the better it'll look in the wood style finish. It seems like most...

    My 2-Car Porcelain Tile Install....

Looking at tiling my garage floor and similar to your original posts, I will probably only be able to work on it a few hours every night at a time. How careful or clean do I need to be around the edges of the tiles that have been laid down with thinset underneath? Do I need to make sure I...

Individual socket rails or socket rail trays?

Based on what everyone is saying, I think the individual rails will work out better for me. Now the next main decision for me is magnetic base or not. My reasoning for a magnetic base is so that the individual rails don't fall over every time I open the drawers. Any thoughts on that? I...

Individual socket rails or socket rail trays?

Looking at getting Ernst twist lock socket rails. Trying to decide the pros/cons between the various options they have. Individual rails vs socket rail trays? Seems like individual rails would give you more organizational flexibility and can put the rails closer together if you are trying...

A few questions regarding garage ceiling storage racks

Going to be picking up some saferacks today. Ultimately decided that 4 legs will give be more uninterrupted storage space and I like that the ceiling attachments span across two joists per leg. I have been reading that a lot of people replace the lag screws that are provided with the racks...

A few questions regarding garage ceiling storage racks

I definitely ran into the issue of uneven spacing on studs in the garage before. I was putting up some slat wall and about 90% of the studs were 16" evenly spaced out, but then 10% of the studs were placed closer/further than the expected 16" spacing. I actually won't need it to have a uniform...

A few questions regarding garage ceiling storage racks

I noticed them after I made the post. If I decide to go with a 6 leg rack, I would probably end up going with them. I just don't like their design that only attaches the mounting legs to one joist instead of being able to span the load over 2 joists. I think by the way you were calculating...

A few questions regarding garage ceiling storage racks

Is it just me or do most garage ceiling rack vendors only offer white or grey/hammertone finishes? I am looking for a rack in black and it seems like there may only be 1 vendor (fleximounts) out there that offers their racks in a black finish? Any thoughts on 4 legs vs 6 legs. Mentally, I...

Liftmaster 8500w - Alternative Power System?

No worries. I actually won't need to touch the garage spring to install this garage opener. In the part you quoted, I was seeing if it would be safe to replace the original electrical cord with one in that length I needed. Not sure if that is still called or considered an extension cord?
