I agree. Also, my slides are not all consistent in the amount of force required to open/close all of the drawers anymore. This causes me to more often than not to open/close drawers harder than needed and causing everything inside to shift around more often.

Anyone know if it is possible to switch out the slides on the Mac Tech 1000 box to be soft close?

I figured just as much. At least now I won't ever have to second guess myself once the job is done if I should have tried making the longer tiles work. Just needed that extra affirmation of how much the 60/72" tiles would be to try and do, haha.

Iv've seen my friend's Dewalt version that's similar to the Rigid tool case and he seems to like it. The Dewalt version that my friend has allows the bottom to slide out, without removing any of the cases above it, which is pretty cool as well.

I'll play around with some ideas/options once I get the case. Now I just gotta keep an eye out for some as they pop up for sale.

Ah, very valid point. I guess if I really wanted to use wrench trays, I'd have to secure them to the pelican's trays and then maybe something on top to keep the wrenches from falling out.
