Being a Liftmaster opener take the cover off and check that the travel adjustment assembly has not come apart. The plastic adjusting screws sometimes pop out of their holders and then no longer hit the metal contact tab at the end of travel.
From what I see in your pics the problem is not with the door manufacturer but the cheap perimeter weather strip used on the sides. Haas does not provide this. The installer does.
As i said before you wont regret the Haas doors. I have been in the overhead door business for thirty plus years and if there is a better door on the market I havent seen it yet. I am not a fan of Genie products but good choice with the doors.
I am a lifestyles screen door rep for my area. You are correct that they are pricey. I have installed about a dozen of them in the last five years. They are quality made and work very nice.
Being in Canada we do not see the new products as soon as the US does.
That being said I have not installed any yet as my supplier does not have them yet. Hopefully they have corrected the wall pad issue. Keep in mind that it is still a jackshaft opener and can still have issues withe the...
If gnpenning has a chip on hs shoulder about these then I must as well.
I have been installing these since they came out. They are not without issues and I warn every one of my customers about these issues before they get installed. Wall pads are definitely an issue.
Find a Linear dealer in your area. They have a new opener out that has all the bells and whistles and can be controlled from an app on your smart phone. A much better opener than any others.
I have been able to do it before by removing the side weatherstrip and using a thin screwdriver to push the spring latch open while another person gently lifts on the t handle.
Better quality all around. Most CHI doors are styrofoam insulated. Haas uses a urethane injection which is a way better insulator. Everyone exaggerates the R value so look into U values. The lower the better. You will find Haas is very low.
If you have the option to by Haas then do it. In my opinion and experience Haas is way better than either CHI or Amarr. If your choice is between CHI and Amarr I would go with CHI.
