Started the last wall, as I ran out of room for all my garage stuff. It's surprising how much you collect over 20 years of being in the same house. This is what the last wall looked like before starting recently;
I started with a Plywood frame made out or 5/8" Thk Plywood. It's 8' long frame...
Oh forgot to add. Total cost was around $50-$75. It was cheaper due to already having left over paint from the walls.
In my garage there is no budget, so everything comes from the beer budget. So cost is always a factor.
Cheap insulation, not too messy, and adds 8' x 8' of white board.
Try this one out. It's both insulation and functional.
Step 1) Took 1" thick white Styrofoam insulation and glued to the back of the insulated door.
Step 2) Took 1/8" Masonite 4'x8' sheet an d split it into the width of the ribs on the back of the doors. Added/glues and brad nailed 1" pine...
Have not posted in a while. It's been fishing season here on Lake Erie. With running a big motor (old school 1987 Evinrude 225hp) the garage revamp funds have been redirected to fishing hobby.
But there has been some progress. Here is a little project I conned one of my buddies into. Again my...
Here is mine.....
Still not enough. Plan on making selving cabinets. When I box in the back of the cabinets I plan on using pegboard. That way I can store all the items that go with each device/powertool right in the same cubby hole. No going to look for the accessories in other places...
Update 4-23-2012
Well this weekend was very productive. Got the new rear garage door installed. Then cut the hole in the wall and tin knocked it and fixed the siding. Was even able to remake the door threshold on the old standard door and switch the sides it opens on. Still need to tin know...
Update 4-20-2012
Well I thought I would check in with an update.
The new Wayne Dalton insulated garage door came in today. It's being delivered to work, so tonight I have a wee bit project to get done. Tomorrow I'm off to my local siding buisness and gettting the supplies to punch the hole...
Update 04-17-2012

As you can see the ceiling...
Finally getting to reinstall my heater. Took it down and relocated due to drywalling and a new garage door installtion. It is coming time to put it back up and have a quick simple question.
Are all double wall pipes interchangeable? Meaning; I currently have two sections installed thru the roof...
Well finished off the drywall in the garage finally. Only have one spot that needs a quicky skim coat. It's of coarse an end joint right infornt of where the TV is going. With the semi-gloss paint, the defect will stand out like 70's pimp on church! So before Archery tonight I'll skim it and put...
With the internet being what it is, Yes that is the island.... Some good fishing out in front right now for walleye's. The spawn is mostly over, but you can pick up a couple of straglers.....
Eventually the car port will be done. The next house upgrade is painting the interior of the whole house. Hasn't been done since we moved in ten years ago. With 4 kids, you can see most corner beads 2.5' from the floor and down!
I have the foam kind, but will have to come back to it. Right now...
Update 04-06-2012
Anyone ever notice that when you are rushing to get something done everything else you always wanted to happen, happen in that time? It did to me this week on Tuesday.
Well started this week on Monday night finishing off the first heavy coat of mudd on the last section of...
Sorry for the late reply, but they where given to me as a giftr from my uncle ten years ago when we moved into the house. He was downsizing housing, actually moving to a condo and getting rid of a bunch of his stuff. They don't have a name plate or anything. These where the nock off back in the...
