    BALDOR GRINDER NAME TAGS?

Those tags look great... what kind of money does he charge for something like that?

I have a couple of Baldor grinders missing the name tags, just wondering if anyone has a source for replacement tags.

    Yost vise parts

I was wondering if anyone has tried buying any parts since Eastwood bought out the company? As I recall, the Yost website used to list parts, but since Eatwood took over, I don't see any parts listed. Is the Eastwood buyout just another case of killing a good old American company?

    Odd Spray gun I found

I thought I have seen most every spray gun brand over the years, but I picked one up yesterday I never heard of. It's a Black spray gun. Kind of looks like a Devilbis MBC and has a snap on cup. Anyone have one? I'll post a picture later today when I get a chance.

    Ingersoll 242 compressor question

Yes, I looked at the links, one is a calculator. I really don't need as I can do the math. The other is a picture of a knock off I-R compressor that shows a max RPM. Max RPM at what pressure or HP it does not give. Unless you have the pump speed at, for example 175 PSI with a 3HP motor is what...

    Ingersoll 242 compressor question

That calculator is fine, but if you don't know the correct RPM the pump should run at for a given HP and pressure it's useless.

    Ingersoll 242 compressor question

It's very simple to look at max pressure vs pump RPM. Many of the old compressor catalogs would have a chart showing RPM for different max pressure settings. It makes a big difference if you have a 3HP motor driving a compressor set at 100 PSI vs 175. You would see how the RPM is reduced as the...

    Ingersoll 242 compressor question

Using max RPM doesn't really work as this compressor is rated for both 3HP and 5HP motors. And the RPM is different depending the max pressure you want to end up with. It's hard to believe I can't find any specs on line for this very common compressor model. I think somewhere in my piles of...

    Ingersoll 242 compressor question

I just bought an Ingersoll 242 compressor with a 3HP 3 phase motor, I don't know any history on the unit, but I get the feeling the 3 phase motor might be bad as the wires were cut off at the motor and motor starter was removed. I have a single phase motor to put on it, but want to be sure the...

Quincy air compressor paint & decals

I'm planning on rebuilding an older Quincy 5 Hp compressor and would like to paint it in the original paint color and try to find someone to make the older style decals. I know Quincy changed the paint color over the years and this compressor had a medium blue metallic paint. Anyone find a match...

    Hello from northeast Ohio

Yeah, I've been going to Canfield for years, but like most places, it's not what it used to be. There's also Randolph auto swap meet, only about 15 minutes west from where I am. A lot smaller than Canfield, but still interesting.
