Why? You could have asked SK for the rebuild kit and they would have shipped it for free.

The promotion ended at the end of 2014, per the T&C page on fluke.com. The Fluke Connect Case no longer appears anywhere on the site as an accessory either. At least, not that I could find through conventional means.

I use SuperLube because it's what SK ships with their rebuild kits. The little packets were even labeled with it for a while. It works nicely in my C-man ratchets too. A little goes a long way.

If it seems reasonable, give it a shot. Torque wrenches, if not massively abused, are usually just fine. If you're worried, check it against a known good one, or have it calibrated.

I but used usually. I stick to brands that have lifetime warranties, and are high quality, well built, and usually USA COO. Minus a warranty, the tool either needs to have specific value to a need I have, or it needs to be built like a brick ********* and will never break. If it does, it needs...

I'm lucky to have occasional access to a calibration machine, so I check mine that way. That said, I've never, not even once, needed to calibrate one. Not the 60 year old Torqometers I buy on eBay, not the HF cheapies, not my old Craftsman bending beam.
