Where do you store your gas cans?

I’m in the planning stages of building a little 8x8 shed for my gas cans and other flammables. Any ideas for the tiny shed? I already have two metal cabinets to keep the cans inside for the shed. What about ventilation? One window and an air vent?

    culverts

If you want one on the cheap. Cut the bottoms out of five gallon plastic pails and join them together. Granted, you will need quite a few. But, it works and it’s cheap if you have the pails lying around.

Electric boiler 15kw - radiant floor

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I was thinking too. The run between house and shop is about 150ft underground. Here is the wire I have, but I have not buried it yet. If I increase to a 125amp breaker can I still run this wire? jungle gif

Electric boiler 15kw - radiant floor

Hi guys, I am working with my plumber to organize my radiant floor heating system. He recommended 15kw electric boiler for my shop. 38x34x14h in eastern Canada. Fully insulted, etc. Now, the 15kw calls for an 80amp breaker. At the moment I am running 100amp service from my house (400amp main...

Good idea to run conduit under slab to cross shop?

Just going through the dilemma now. Over or under. Those of you who say it’s cheaper, do you consider the cost of the conduit? I know it’s not overly expensive, but it has me wondering. Still, I’m planning to go under. I see most people suggest 1-1/4”??

    Can’t new shop size 🤨

It’s a tough one. I think I would go for the extra width. I am in the same dilemma though. Trying to decide between: 32wx40d or 38wx34d. Currently have a Ford superduty crewcab, so I need the length, but also have restoration project (71 bronco) on the side that I need the space for. I guess...

Those of you with a manifold system, do you notice long wait times to get your hot water? I’m currently building a 3700sqft house and some people have advised against the manifold.

    Stem wall insulation

Thanks for the reply Willysfan. Yes, the idea behind my stem wall is that it will be 2’ above the slab. I like your point about making a slab shelf. I will mention it to my concrete guy. I was wondering if I ran the rigid up the exterior, how might that affect my heat loss.

Hi guys, I’ve searched but still did not find my answer. Location: Eastern Canada. Maritimes. Planning on doing a 2foot stem wall on my footing for my garage. Running radiant floor heat and will have the slab insulated underneath. To insulate my stem wall do I insulate the interior side or...
