You can leave the AMS plugged in. On the print confirmation screen (the one you screen shotted earlier), there will be a setting to turn off the AMS. Then you can select the filament you have designated as the external spool on the device settings.

You have to make sure the material is set on the object before slicing the plate, and make sure that the printer filament is synced to match. The first part of that error indicates that whatever the slicer thinks is loaded on the printer does not match what the object was assigned in the slicer.

Depends on the filament. I rarely dry PLA, unless it's old or been sitting out for a while. PETG seems to be fine for me if it's stored in a dry bag w/ desiccant after use (I use desiccant that changes color so I know when it's been saturated). TPU will usually be OK if I store it right...
