    Zoro Deals Thread

I like Zoro, but there are some vendors that do pretty well with Williams pricing. Seems like Suncoast Precision Tools was one of them, and you don’t have to deal with coupon codes.

New USA made SK chrome sockets? Any good? Same as the old?

No, SK has no hand tool manufacturing in the US. Any USA tools are made by another company for SK.

New USA made SK chrome sockets? Any good? Same as the old?

Seems like the correct idea to me. I don’t see a compelling reason to buy any new SK tools.

The USA made sockets are supposedly made by Wright. SK doesn't manufacture anything in the USA.

Proto full Polish ASD, let's see them!

I purchased a set from Zoro in recent months, and the stamping is the older design. I have not seen any 12 point with that newer stamping, so that may be exclusive to the 6 point wrenches.

Proto full Polish ASD, let's see them!

Yes, that info is in the Proto catalog. 9mm and smaller, 36mm and larger, 11/32" and smaller, 1-5/16" and larger do not have ASD feature. Maybe a better way to word it is only 10mm-35mm and 3/8" to 1-1/4" have ASD feature.

    The Facom Tools Thread.

The French S.154 is 72 tooth, at least the one I have. How many teeth to the new Taiwan produced tool?

    QC Oopsies...SK

If you need them to be impact sockets, you may want to verify with SK. Some of their e-torx and e-torx plus sockets were black oxide (not chromed) and also not impact rated.

Seeking recommendations for ultra compact head 3/8" drive ratchet (1/4" body) for under $65

If the Astro can truly handle 250 ft-lbs, it would be tough to buy the 60 lb-ft rated Tekton instead of the Astro.

    Tekton has a few. https://www.tekton.com/ratchets-and-breaker-bars/small-body-ratchets

Astro Pneumatic vs. VIM Chrome Sockets

I have the Astro set, and they are excellent. Can’t see how the VIM are worth the premium. Might supplement with the CTA 18mm and 19mm extra deep one day, but have not needed them.

    Best value sockets?

That set has sold in the $80 - $100 range at times. Good value with a lot of sockets, even at full price.
