I have those Pittsburgh wrenches in my truck toolbox. I bought a bunch of HF stuff so I wouldn't cry if I lost it.
I know their warranty exchange is simple and painless, but I've yet to break anything. I've beaten on these wrenches with hammers and not managed to snap one yet.
For getting...
I have the black one, and there's one feature that the black one totally kills the red one on: size.
The black one fits my available space and the red one didn't.
I know you've already made up your mind and placed your order, but I'll add my Gearwrench opinion.
I've lurked here forever, and I'm just DIY type guy, but I've been switching to Gearwrench since Craftsman started their China ways.
I'm thrilled with Gearwrench and won't stop buying their...
I needed a rotary hammer for a single use. Bought the Harbor Freight version and I have used the hell out of it.
I needed a small generator for a job that I was on to run a small water pump. Bought the Harbor Freight 2 cycle. Have used the hell out of it.
I'm not saying my next 18v drill...
If I'm going to buy China tools, I'm going to pay China prices. They closed the Sears Hardware Store in my town, so it's actually now a shorter drive to get to Harbor Freight than Sears.
My truck box has been getting nothing but HF for the last year.
I'm still figuring out my strategy for...
They are the top execs from Kmart so they are thinking higher margins from lower cost to produce.
I've always bought Craftsman for the warranty and made in USA. The more they make in China the more I buy elsewhere.

I have Weather Guard on my work truck and a Delta Champion from Tractor Supply on my personal truck. I changed the lock and the wether stripping on my TSC box, but other than that I love it. Single lid design, black, aluminum. It was half the price of Weather Guard, made in the USA and has been...
I have Craftsman SAE & metric that were free to me, but if I were buying I would get the HF set. For one, those look like the same set to me. For two, HF will warranty that set over the counter across the country. If you don't live in the NT footprint exchanges are much tougher.
Should have looked at the package. I don't recall if it was Taiwan or china but those imports. I passed and went to harbor freight. China tool, china price.
So, sight unseen it's a waste? I'm sure that someone will be very happy that you chose to stay home.
I hope the buyer is a member here and posts pictures and an inventory of what they scored.
I'm aware of the origins of Gearwrench stuff. It isn't that I am totally opposed to buying Asian made tools. Not that long ago sears had a little American flag graphic on their packaging. If they had done the same and placed a Chinese or Taiwanese flag on their Asian tools I probably would have...
And who says the box is new? That could be a year or two old. Our fleet mechanic bought a new Snap On box right before Christmas last year and was forced to retire because of a sudden heart condition back in July. **** happens.
