I would staple down some rated underlayment, ie the 1/4" or 5mm sanded plywood. Then glue the tile to that. Advantech is great stuff and expensive. I wouldn't want to remodel this later down the road and have to pull glued tile off it and risk damaging the subfloor.
Be careful when you tape your floor covering down. Painters tape and other HD tapes have a knack for having the adhesive leaching out and you will not be able to remove it. This is an issue alot with polished floors in homes. I had the issue when I taped out bench/cabinet and equipment...
That's a neg. Thor was less than helpful. I did talk with Husky and apparently there are parts available from them. Shelfs, drawers, etc. Shelf was on backorder last year but talking with Husky directly appears to be the best route.
I have seen used rotarys on FBM for pretty cheap lately. Alot of 7-9K lifts. A few 10K lifts. Usually $2-3K. Would involve break down, transport, and reinstalling. Most are the older style flip up arms. ITs not to say you couldn't get one cheap and budget out getting some upgraded arms...
So I bought my SPOA10 with the trio low profile arms in 2022. It will pick up everything I have from a viper to a f350 truck. That was just after a price increase/adjustment they made for steel prices. IIRC it was $800 more then prior to the adjustment. It was $7500 with taxes and freight...
I think your second layout above looks the best. It gives you plenty of room to pull things out and pull back in without blocking the house driveway. Gives you protection/privacy from prying eyes from the road.
Rotarys spec is to have 6-1/4" from the edge of a bolt to any crack, joint, or edge for the hilti anchor bolts provided with their lifts. I dont have any relief cuts in my pour. Wasn't exactly sure where the lifts were going to go. I have a few shrinkage cracks I needed to work around to get...
I offset my shop to be parallel to the rear set back. My neighbors thought it was odd that it wasn't square to the house but they were far enough away from each other they it wasn't an visual issue. Red line is the prop line. After the fact they all agreed it was the right call. It did allow...
12K lol. If you dont plan on lifting more then 10K buy a 10K. 12K def seperates the men from the boys in regards to concrete spec. If your set on installing the 12K, dig it out and build it based on requirements for manufacturer. IIRC it was a 2x2 or 4x4 section and doweled in if the spec...
120" seems like over kill for sub 600sqft. I have a westinghouse 100" installed in my 28x46. It moves some air even on low. I was impressed with it compared to the BAF variant at 3 times the cost.
Ive had this installed for 5 years running continuous 6 months a year. Might be worth a...
Advantech all day long. Worth the premium over the rest. I've seen failures with the ZIP systems by huber so opted for the regular Advantech sheathing when building my garage due to wanting to do a rainscreen siding system. I had some pieces left outside over the winter sitting in slop and...
Your 1-2 locations off the house is likely going to be easier to use. Aesthetically, I prefer your detached version. The one in post 31 is just to much going on around the house, IMHO. That approach angle to the bay closest to the house is and the middle one are not going to be fun trying to...
